Don't forget 1st of April is April Fools Day, the  day for practical jokes. The simplest jokes are often the best and there are sure to be a number of them occurring at the Longlands among  the locals. Keep your eyes peeled.
St George's Day in England remembers St George, England's patron saint. The anniversary of his death, which is on April 23, is seen as England's national day. According to legend, he was a soldier who killed a dragon and saved a princess. The footie will be on and you can enjoy at pint or two at the bar to celebrate.

April is the month when the flowers start to appear, the birds start singing and it smells like Spring outside again. Here at the Longlands Inn & Restaurant as the nights start to get warmer and the horse racing season begins with a number of local meets, why not take a look at our events for April. With live music, football on the large screen in the bar and evening events to be announced, it really is beginning to look like Spring is here.
