Your dog is a part of your family – of course you want to include him/her on your days out or holidays in the country!  Well, we can guarantee there’s always a warm welcome for the whole family and your dog at the Longlands Inn.  So whether you are coming in for a relaxing drink in the bar area or joining us for a meal, a short break  or a long weekend away. Let us know if you need a dog-friendly hotel room or cottage when you book your stay with us and we’ll make sure you get the right room.
Ask about our dog-friendly holiday cottages and hotel rooms when you book your stay at the Longlands Inn. Each dog-friendly cottage has its own fenced garden, so your family pet is kept safe. Don’t forget to pack your poop-scoop, though! Oh, and plenty of toys and chews so he doesn’t try to chew anything that doesn’t belong to him.

We do respectfully ask that you reserve the furniture in your room or cottage for use by the human people in your party, and keep the dog off the beds, chairs and sofas.
There are loads of gorgeous walks in the countryside surrounding the Longlands Inn – there are wide open fields, canal paths, and of course we’re close to the Lakes and the Dales. Please remember the country code, and keep your dog on a lead if livestock are around, though, especially in the lambing season. Ask us about easy strolls around our countryside, mountain hikes or a gentle walk along the canal!
Don’t have a dog, but need an incentive to go for a walk? Ronnie, our friendly black Labrador, will be delighted to accompany you to his favourite local spots!
