Business Accommodation
The Longlands Hotel is perfect for business or corporate accommodation. A short drive from Lancaster University, The University of Cumbria and Heysham Power Station as well as the business centres of Morecambe, Lancaster and Carnforth, many of our business guests make The Longlands their regular home from home.
Rooms
Our rooms are spacious enough for you to work from and have free wi-fi connection. You are welcome to use our fax machine should you need to and meeting rooms can be easily arranged. If you need more space, why not stay in one of our six cottages. Just across the courtyard from the Longlands, you can be independent whilst still having all of our facilities on tap. Special rates can be arranged for long stays.
Food & Drink
Our renowned Longlands breakfast is included or if you have a very early start, a continental breakfast can be arranged. Lunch and dinner are available in the restaurant or bar, or, if you are working hard, simply choose from the menu and we will bring your meal to your room.
Tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk are available in your room, and we will keep you supplied with delicious biscuits. Why choose a faceless hotel chain for your corporate stay when you can let us spoil you at the Longlands.
Meetings, Conferences and Team Building
We know that sometimes you need to get away from your everyday work environment to really achieve results. Our clients find that coming to the Longlands and spending a day in a peaceful, rural environment with the only distraction being the sumptuous homemade food that we ply you with, refuels and revitalises them. We have various options for our corporate guests, based in the air-conditioned comfort of The Lapwing Suite.
Meetings and Conferences
We have space for a gathering of any number, from 2 to 200 people. The Lapwing can be arranged in various ways; you may need a boardroom layout, a theatre style auditorium or specific areas for breakout brainstorms. We can provide you with flipcharts, projectors and full wi-fi access. We understand that on days like these, you need to make every second count so we spend time with you beforehand working out exactly what you need, so that on the day, everything runs smoothly.
Team Building Days
Many of our clients like to incorporate a team building activity into their conference to get their people bonding and working together. The advantage of being based at The Longlands is that you have fresh air and countryside all around you, plenty of space for your team to release their ‘inner selves’ where nobody can see them! We can help you to organise all kinds of activities - why not try golf, fishing, orienteering, treasure hunting, raft building on the canal or a mini Olympics. If you have something different in mind let us know and we’re sure we’’ll be able to put it together for you.
Business breakfasts
Why not get an early start and hold a business breakfast at The Longlands. Available every day from 7am until 10 am, you can choose either a continental option with freshly baked pastries, or the full works with bacon, eggs and sausages from local farms, hot buttered toast and an endless supply of fresh tea and coffee.
Parties
The Lapwing is the perfect venue for parties, celebrations or awards dinners. Each event is organised specifically to your requirements, meaning that you can give your staff and clients an evening to remember.
Catering
All of our food is made in our restaurant kitchen from fresh, local ingredients. We will devise a menu with you beforehand to make sure that we treat you to something truly delicious. For morning and afternoon breaks, or for short meetings, we provide coffee and tea with a selection of biscuits and cakes, freshly baked in our kitchen that morning.
Location
It is easy for all your staff to get to the Longlands. We are based less than a mile from junction 35 of the M6 and we have plenty of parking right outside.
