Nestling at the end of the Lancaster Canal, we are a 30 minute drive away from the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland. Our accommodation is 4 star and all of our rooms have recently been refurbished with crisp linen, fluffy white towels and rain drench showers.

Being bang on the North Lancashire and South Cumbria border, we are surrounded by farmers offering local specialities. This helps us to keep our dishes low on food miles and high on flavour. Bed and Breakfast stays include our sumptuous start to the day, a hearty Lancashire breakfast.
A country break near The Lakes & The Yorkshire Dales
Not only are we close to the Lakes and the Dales but we are also a short drive from the coast. Visit Silverdale and Arnside for superb walking and bird-watching, spend an afternoon on the sandy beach at Morecambe, pop to Kendal, the historic city of Lancaster or the pretty little market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. Fishing, clay pigeon shooting, golf, a trip on the Lancaster canal - tell us what you would like to do and we will do our best to arrange it for you.

Children are especially welcome at the Longlands Hotel. We are surrounded by great walks and we have activity bags in the restaurant as well as a visitor farm and playbarn just across the road.
